lifeIMAGE co-founder and board member Hamid Tabatabaie, who led the search for a new CEO, will remain a member of the executive team as Executive Vice President, enhancing his focus on strategy, expansion of new services, and collaboration with customers and partners.
“Matt has a demonstrated ability to build high-powered teams, transform operations, and successfully scale organizations,” said Tabatabaie. “I’m looking forward to working shoulder-to-shoulder with him and the rest of the team to further the company’s dedication to building a smart, national network for interoperable medical image exchange and to fully realize the lifeIMAGE vision.”
“Some of the impressive qualities drawing me to lifeIMAGE include the quality of its team, its blue-chip client roster and its position as the country’s largest, most utilized network for sharing medical imaging information,” said Matthew A. Michela, President and CEO, lifeIMAGE. “The company delivers exactly what the ailing healthcare system desperately needs: secure, interoperable image exchange that improves the quality of patient care while wringing unnecessary costs out of the system.”
“Matt’s hands-on business and operations experience together with his proven track record in the provider, payer, employer, and care management sectors is a great fit for lifeIMAGE,” said Will Cowen, Chairman of the lifeIMAGE Board of Directors. “We’re certain the dynamic partnership between Matt and Hamid will accelerate lifeIMAGE’s ability to provide even more effective, scalable, quality-driven and innovative solutions to the market of the future.”
