Image e-Sharing: lilaTM Connects You to the Cloud

lila’s capabilities will continuously expand, providing options to interact with the outside through a lifeIMAGE cloud. Soon, lifeIMAGE subscribers will be able to communicate across institutions, and share results with outside referring physicians and patients, regardless of location.

On each lila, designated teams can form groups that are represented by a group Inbox in the cloud. The cloud Inbox can securely receive patient imaging information from referral sites for cases involving trauma, ER, clinical consults or trials, as well as delivering outside images to the OR. Sites uploading image data to a group Inbox require no hardware or software, allowing real-time and on-demand sharing with any site.

Additionally, lila will be used to distribute imaging results via the lifeIMAGE cloud. Each lila creates private Inboxes for delivering results to outside referring physicians and patients, who can claim their Inboxes and choose to use them to receive their imaging results from anywhere. This gives image-intensive clinicians such as those in orthopedics, oncology, neurology and cardiology a way to access and aggregate exam data from the multiple sites they send patients to be scanned. Patients, and their loved ones, can also use the Inbox to collect their studies in one place, and share with healthcare providers or family members as needed simply by inviting them and assigning them access privileges.

The lifeIMAGE Inbox offers unprecedented flexibility to healthcare providers and patients to share vital imaging records in applications from second opinion to teleradiology and beyond. To maximize sharing capability lifeIMAGE’s open architecture supports standards such as XDSI, and can interact with popular EMRs and PHRs.
