lila DropBox™ for Imaging Information

The DropBox is a secure location on the lifeIMAGE cloud where an enterprise's physicians, or groups of physicians, can receive referral imaging information.

Currently, diagnostic image sharing between unaffiliated sites and physicians is predominately accomplished by burning images and reports to CD/DVD media. Uploading outside exams to a DropBox ensures that images will quickly and securely reach their desired destination, that receiving physicians do not need to learn a third party viewer to access outside images, and that patients will not be re-imaged because the exam data on CD was technically inaccessible.

DropBox users can access and view outside studies from any location within their enterprise and opt to nominate shared exams to be imported to their proprietary PACS or EMR. Unaffiliated remote sites can share images to a DropBox with a secure, thin client upload applet, and do not have to have a relationship with lifeIMAGE.
